Paul Gachie
Board Chairman

Paul holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from Daystar University and he’s a Certified Public Accountant. He has undertaken some special courses which include: making cents Business TOF Training organized by Making Cents Inc.; at Monrovia, Liberia, Finance and Budgeting Workshop by CARE International in Somalia. Microfinance for Conflict Affected Communities by UNHCR and ILO in Turin, Italy, Finance for Enterprise Development by Cranfield University in England, subsector Analysis Workshop organized by SEEP Network, Kadoma Motel in Zimbabwe among others. He’s currently consulting with Farm shop as the General Manager. Paul has over 20 years’ experience in Microfinance and Microenterprise development in several countries across Africa continent. Prior to joining Farm shop, he was a livelihoods coordinator with Danish Refugee Council Somalia. He was providing technical assistance to livelihoods staff implementing projects in South and Central Somalia. Paul is one of those who co-founded Faulu Kenya which is today one of the big microfinance institutions in Kenya with program operations in the neighboring countries. As its pioneering program manager. He was involved in the development and setting up of Faulu’s group-based lending program, its systems and structures as well as recruitment and training of staff.

Pat Gleeson
Board Member

Pat brings over 30 years of microfinance and banking experience gained from working throughout the world in Europe, Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East. He previously served as the Director of Operations at the Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance and has extensive experience in the establishment, management, governance, and capacity building of microfinance institutions. Pat has served on the Boards of a number of leading microfinance institutions and has successfully led and managed change across different cultures.

Nancy Gathuku

Nancy Has MBA (specialization area-project management from Africa Nazarene University, Bachelor ofcommerce (Risk Management- University of South Africa. Diploma in Management (Technical University) Kenya Polytechnic. Nancy has over 25 years in Banking. She has been Head of Credit in Guardian Bank, Branch Manager Equity Bank, Credit Manager Fidelity Commercial bank, Senior Regional Manager Cooperative Bank and currently head of Retail Banking at Cooperative Bank.

Timothy Mitheu

Timothy holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Certificate in Corporate Governance, a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Public Secretary, was the best candidate in Kenya in the Administrative practice paper section 4 of CPS in 1991. Timothy has experience in Finance for over 20 years. He has worked in various organizations which include: Lecturer in Technical Education, Finance Manager Triad Energy LTD, Karumasi Consulting Ltd as a Financial Management Consultant. Timothy has worked with Fronfrin Training ltd as a Training Manager. He is currently working with Methodist Church in Kenya as Head of Audit.

Winfred Muoki

Winfred is a holder of a Bachelor of Law from Dr,Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University India, has a Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. She is a Certified Public Secretary (K), a professional expertise in Law and Insurance. Winfred is currently working in Tausi Assurance Company limited as a Claims and Legal Manager. She has worked with Prime capital and Credit Limited as a Legal Officer, Leisure Lodges Beach & Golf Resort in Mombasa as Legal Officer, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) as an Eligibility Officer, worked as an Associate Advocate at Wetangula & Company Advocates and K’opere & Company Advocates. Winfred has served as the Church Secretary for Parklands Baptist Church and in the Executive committee of the Church, the church council, procurement committee and implementation, monitoring and evaluation Committee. She has also served as the secretary to Parklands Baptist School. Winfred has been nominated by the Baptist Church

Justus Mwangi
Board Member

Justus is a Certified Bank Graduate from The Kenya Institute of Bankers, MSME Business Mentorship from Inoorero University, and has a Certificate in Credit Management from the school of Credit Management. Justus attended a Training of Trainers in Micro financing MSETTP/AFCAP, Effective Management of Credit Schemes Kenya Institute of Business Training /Common wealth Secretariat (London) he is a Career Development consultant in Strategy Implementation.

He holds a Diploma in Management and Development studies from Daystar University and an Award of Good leadership (D.U.S.A). Justus is currently working with Undungu Society of Kenya as a Business Advisor. He has worked in various organizations which include; ABN AMRO Bank and Philip Industrial & General Services, Catholic University of East Africa as a part-time Lecturer (Entrepreneurship and MSE Development/Microfinance), New Milimani Sacco as the Deputy CEO.

He was appointed as a member, National AIDS Control Council (NACC) Nairobi North District Technical Committee where he represented NGOs and CBOs operating at Kamukunji Constituency. Justus has over 35years working experience in Credit Management and Development

Jennifer Nyamanche
Board Member

Jennifer specializes in both women and children outfits. She started her business in 90s and through funding from ECLOF Kenya she has grown socially and economically, she has been able to buy her own plot and build a permanent modern home. From a humble beginning she has been able to transit from a retail small cloth shop to an importer and selling on both retail and wholesale. From a working capital of less than 50,000 she has built a stable business empire worth over 3million and she attributes this to hard work, and funding from ECLOF Kenya.

She is a loyal client who has been paying her loan on time and she is very positive about ECLOF and the company services. She is a Business Lady. Jeniffer is the Client Representative in the Board.

Mary Munyiri
Chief Executive Officer

Mary joined ECLOF Kenya in 22nd February 2011. She brought to ECLOF Kenya her over 20 years work experience. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of ECLOF Kenya. Prior to joining ECLOF Kenya, she was the Head of Business Development Department in Faulu Microfinance Bank. She was among the team that co-founded Faulu Kenya which is today one of the big microfinance institutions in Kenya.

Mary’s career began as a civil servant with the Government of Kenyan in the then Ministry of Trade. She then moved to manufacture firm and later settled in microfinance.  Her major experience is in Microfinance, Microenterprise development and Community development

Mary holds a Masters Degree in Banking and Finance (MF Option), a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a Higher Diploma in Psychological Counseling. She has also undertaken some special courses which include: Corporate Governance and Effective leadership, Change management, Product Review and Market Research, Strategic Thinking, From Good to Great; Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Her passion is in leadership capacity building and institution development

Christine holds a Bachelor’s of Commerce (Accounting from University of Nairobi and she’s a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya. Currently she is the owner of Green Fountains Investments Limited an Agribusiness Company and a non-executive Board member of Spire Bank Kenya. She has over 21 years extensive experience in Business Strategy, Operational risk framework, Financial Management, Financial Risk Assessment and Auditing gained whilst working for Bharti Airtel Africa office, Renaissance Capital, Standard Bank of South Africa, CFC Stanbic Bank and KPMG . She is proficient in handling special investigations and reviews, able to develop positive relations through offering Business Advisory Services and an independent self-motivated professional with ability to handle difficult assignments. Christine has been an Acting Director of Airtel Money Africa, member of GSMA

Ms. Mary has Accounting and Finance experience for over 16 years. She is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA K) and Computer Literate. She holds Bachelor of Commerce- Finance Option. Currently doing MSc. Commerce – Finance and Investment. Mary has worked in various institutions which include: Church Army Eastern Africa as a Bursar, All Saints Cathedral Church as an Accountant. She is currently the Finance Manager – The National Council of Churches of Kenya. Mary has been nominated by the NCCK as their Board Representative
